It's a New Year and the only way we can advertise the power of what we do is by ensuring that we all get our Home Staging Statistics in to our Member Databases.  Personally the only group I am a member of is RESA (Real Estate Staging Association)  But I invite everyone to make it easier on everyone else to post LINKS to their various organizations in the comments section, or email them to me and I'll update the post. 

How will you succeed in 2009?  The answer is quite simple:  By thinking outside of the box.

If you are running your business and beating the same dead-horse that you were even 1 year ago, you are ultimately going to see some very hard times in the coming year.  So to get your creative juices flowing, try this brain teaser and see how you do.

One of the (many) things that I have been so busy working on in recent weeks is expanding my business into areas and markets beyond selling homes.  The term "selling" a home is actually quite broad and varied.  Think about it - "Selling" a home is not just for selling homes.

Most of you wouldn't know, but I volunteer in my son's Kindergarten classroom for 2 hours every Monday morning and I am also the "Classroom Parent".    A month or so ago a new boy came to the class that I immediately could feel that something was "off". 

....Literally - I know it has nothing to do with Home Staging, but I wanted to thank everyone who has been so generous with words of advice, wisdom, support and sometimes a swift kick in the a**; with something I KNOW everyone will use!

I have to say that over the past year, myself and my staff have tried almost every single one of these and have never been let down (when you folow the instructions of course - we won't talk about a few mishaps of "forgotten coookies in the oven" during Staff Meetings)
