Fannie Mae Rolls Out New Closing Cost Assistance Program for First Time Homebuyers
Fannie Mae has announced the roll out of their newest closing cost assistance program for first time homebuyers. The HomePath Ready Buyer™ Program provides first time homebuyers with a comprehensive educational course to help prepare them for the “responsibilities of homeownership.” Upon successful completion of the course, first time homebuyers will receive a certificate of completion which can be submitted with a request up to 3% of closing cost assistance on a HomePath property by their real estate agent.
The 4-hour course has a $75 fee that may be reimbursed by Fannie Mae if the homebuyer choses to buy the HomePath property and successfully closes on a contract. Initial offers submitted through the HomePath Online Offers system on or after April 14, 2015 are eligible. Other terms and conditions apply. For more information please contact me.
