The Ford’s Theatre has re-opened after two years of renovations. In the new repository located in the basement tells of Abraham Lincoln’s story starting with his arrival in Washington, DC leading up to his assassination at the theatre in April 1865. The tour of the theatre is FREE, where you can see treasured artifacts including John Wilkes Booth’s handgun and a replica coat like the one Lincoln wore the night he was shot.
