Hampton Place Overland Park 2013 Home Sale Report
Another fantastic year of homes sales are in the books for Hampton Place. While sales were strong in 2013, they could have been substantially stronger if more homes were available. The first half of 2013 saw homes selling quickly as buyers were in frenzy to snap up homes at record low interest rates. The second half of the years registered fewer sales as interest rates rose and the availability of homes shrank to near zero.

Expectation for 2014 are high but we are still experiencing record low inventory of available homes. The spring market should bring a bevy of qualified buyers trying to purchase before interest rate increase again. Current rates are in the 4.5% range, with most experts forecasting rates to exceed 5% by mid-summer.
