Take a tour of the Nicklaus and Dye golf courses at Promontory Ranch Club, a private community in Park City, Utah. The Dye and Nicklaus courses are ranked #2 and #3 in Utah, respectively by Golf Digest. Both courses have their own practice facilities and driving ranges.
The Nicklaus Painted Valley CourseIn 2007 Golf Digest ranked this the 3rd Best “New Private Course” and in 2008 was rated the toughest golf course in Utah. The Nicklaus course offers 5 tee boxes with the tips playing at 8,098 yards. The front-nine has a meandering creek that comes into play on eight of the front-nine holes, while water hazards come into play on seven of back-nine holes.
The Dye Canyon CourseThe Dye course with six sets of tees, is a more family friendly golf course and has added PGA/U.S. Kids Tee Plates. The six tee box yardages range from 4,600 yards to 7,690 yards from the tips. The signature 8th hole is a 299 yard par 3. The front-nine is a straightforward mountain design and the back-nine a more extreme canyons style.
