Our friend and fellow real estate agent, Charles Richey, has been diagnosed
with Guillain-Barre Syndrome and is currently in the ICU at the University Medical
Center (UMC) in Las Vegas.
Guillain-Barre
Syndrome: (GBS) (pronounced "ghee-YAN bah-RAY") is a rare
nervous system disorder that results from nerve damage caused by the body's
own immune system, usually in response to an infection or other illness.
GBS causes muscle weakness, loss of reflexes, and numbness or tingling in
the arms, legs, face, and other parts of the body. It can even progress
to complete paralysis. GBS is the most common medical cause of paralysis
that develops over days to weeks.

Anyone that surfs the internet can help but notice that blogs are all the rage right now. It seems that EVERYONE has a blog, from stay at home moms to corporate moguls (including this site!). As the number of blogs has increased, so have the number of sites for blog owners and readers. There are tons of social networking sites for blog owners, but not all will make the cut. Aside from the granddaddy of them all Technorati, there are two definite networking camps: MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog.

Edgeio - true Web 2.0 Classifieds that was just released to wide public a couple of weeks ago (February 26th, 2006) . I think I visited them once but hasn't realized from the beginning what it was. Well, it happens (I guess). So, what is Edgeio? It is a Classifieds service, tool that crawls the Net and picks up classified listings and pretty much everything that has feeds and keeps them up to date.

I've seen a lot of posts during past weeks about old and new automated real estate services and how they affect real estate agents, their business and the whole industry. Very interesting. Seams like a lot of people jealous of real estate agents having possibility of making good money with "less work" invested. Well, I personally don't think so. I'm not an agent, but I'm working with them and as in any business there are people that providing outstanding services, working their butts off 24/7 and making their clients happy as well as opposite.

I found out that on some computers w.bloggar v.4 generates a run-time 2006 error that gives "Invalid Tools collection index" message. It come up on the second run of the application and you're not able to do anything. Well, it didn't happen on my home computer, but it happened on one of our agents laptop. I did a little research and found out that in fact it does happen and a known bug. Since I mentioned this software as an excellent tool, I also would like to publish step-by-step instructions how to fix the problem. Here we go:

In todays real estate business craze it is really hard to be updated on all the new trends and news related to the industry nationwide and locally. But don't forget we're living in the technology age, so we must utilize available to us knowledge and tools. I'm reading a lot lately and I never thought I would ever read this much in my life. Trying to stay updated on all the new things that interest me, somewhat related to my life, work and happening every day in the world.

Watch what you blog about, watch your language in the comments, don't forget to mention your full name, sex, race and drivers license number in case someone finds your post annoying or abusive, because now you're legally responsible for every word you type and don't even think to do it anonymously. According to the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005 which was signed into law you can be put in jail up to two years:
